THE RUGBY CLUBS OF SAN DIEGO
Rugby is still mainly an amateur sport in the United States but is played at a national-caliber. Most players pay for their own equipment and travel and are responsible for their own health insurance. Many players juggle full-time professional careers and their families while playing the game. Rugby Clubs also give back to the community in many ways by supporting and participating in a variety of local charitable causes.
Rugby has recently increased in popularity. In Southern California alone, over 4,000 active players — from colleges to the premier divisions — along with their friends and families, make up a unique sporting culture that continues to grow. Rugby matches attract 100's of spectators every weekend. Championships have drawn 1,000's and usually receive TV coverage.
Proceeds from your Rugby Club Card help to keep the game alive and the players helping the community in which they live. - - Give It A TRY!
